Why is NW suddenly good? Last year they were Kansas bad, at least when I watched them.
The Maryland RB averaged a first down on every rush attempt.
Agree. I don’t see iowa losing to NW today. I don’t think it will be close either.
I know they had a lot of injuries, especially at QB, but when I watched them their OL was just overwhelmed.
You know the saying about rising tides lift all boats? Well, NW is a boat that sank to the sea floor long ago and the Big10 West is like all the water drains away leaving all the other boats on the sea floor with NW this year. So they have a chance, not because they're good, but everyone else is worse than them.

Now that the BigTen and SEC are giving up 40 points a game, the GameDay boys have abandoned bashing with 'Big12 doesn't play defense'. Now it's 'Offense wins championships'. LOL.
In the b1g west, you get to play 4 KU's every year. You don't have to be good, just a little bit better than the bottom tier and you can compete for the division.
I honestly have not watched a second of the Big 10. But looking at what their defense did to Maryland, and what Marylands offense did last night, their D looks legit on paper. I know Minnesota's D sucks, so we will see, but I think Northwestern will win a 24-10 type game today.

They literally said that this morning saying Oklahoma State has a great defense but marginal offense which could be a big factor keeping them from the CFP. It's nauseating that they can change the narrative so the Big 12 is always disadvantaged.
Purdue and either Rutgers or Indiana will have a better record than Penn State and Michigan at the end of the day.

On the most recent podcast Bruce Feldman said he was in a studio with Charles Woodson, and said that the secondary is so bad at Michigan, that he thought Charles was going to "vomit on his ascot. He was mortified."
