Fort Dodge looked like a war zone this morning. You'll see footage on KCCI tonight, they've been up here all day. We lost power last night at 9PM, still don't have it back yet. And there's a hot one just starting again now. Wish me luck...........

Siren for high wind? You guys are high class.

They're just trying to keep people safe but it's silly. If you use the siren for non-emergencies, people will ignore it and cause more harm than any benefits you've gained by using it for "high winds"

Sounds like a poor choice on their part.

I sent the kids to the basement when the sirens went off. Oldest was at softball practice, they were supposed to scrimmage tonight. Thankfully coach moved practice inside instead. Would have been nice to know so I was freaking out about her being outside.

I hope you aren't my neighbor. If they ever lose their trampoline, it is going right into my house--it sits about 15ft from my house. :mad:
It does have a couple sandbags on it, but it definitely moved a few feet this evening.
