Possible, but my guess is Darnold ends up 2nd string. But I’m not following too closely.Maybe, but it sounded more likely Darnold would be 3rd string/practice squad.
If anything, this is saying QBPs surgery went well.Article from ESPN interviewing Lynch about Brock

That's some high praise and confidence from the 49ers staff! Says a lot that they haven't even gone through camp yet to come out and say that Brock is their guy. Curious to see if Lance is as humble about it if he loses they job when he's healthy as it's easy to take the team player approach when you can't physically play. But when you are a former 1st rounder that they gave up what they did to get him and now you could be holding a clipboard for a guy that almost didn't get drafted it will be interesting if he continues to buy in or asks for a trade.
Speaking to NFL Network's Steve Wyche later in the day, coach Kyle Shanahan agreed with Lynch's sentiments.
"In the games he played, he played at a level that was the real deal," Shanahan said about Purdy. "If you go off that evaluation and what he did, he earned that job. He should be our starter on how he played. Because he has that film. And that was really cool to see."
Feels like we knew this but maybe I was just assuming that was the case?
Yep it’s old news on Brock Purdy, but new news on Bryce Young.Feels like we knew this but maybe I was just assuming that was the case?
My counter offer is a 5th rounder
