Week 1: West Virginia
Right Michigan ran the ball 31 straight times and beat PSU handily. WVU lead the power 4 in rushing last year, and return all the production. WVU's starting rb averaged an NCAA best 230 yards per game last year, but didnt play against PSU bc he was a true freshman and hadnt learned to block.

look for WVU to run the ball down PSU's throat and shorten the game.

After much research and publication in peer-reviewed journals of prognostication analysis, I have arrived at the conclusion that my methodology is above normal considerations; my thoughtstyle is beyond reproach. Attention must be duly paid to my proper techniques and my overwhelming discernment regarding the vagaries and vicissitudes of young football players. When my unequaled skill-set brings this competition to its fruition, you will witness me hoisting the trophy in triumph, whilst you hoist yourself on its own petard. Song and verse will be written to commemorate this signal achievement. Come one and all to my clarion call...
Pull on your waders, boys - it's getting really deep in here!

I want to thank IJKCC for the unwavering belief in my immutable thought style. To reiterate: my week one selection is UTSA, a choice which is unassailable. In spite of the fact my previous-year week one vote suffered ignominious defeat at the hands of a lesser opponent, I possess full confidence in my stratagem moving forward. Thank you, and the best of luck to all.

I hope youre right, but mich had a ridiculous OL. And WV lost a lot on defense. The line didnt open at 10 for no reason.

But i will be watching and lets go mountaineers!

My thoughts are that WVU is going to be super jacked for this game. Penn State is good, but they’re that next level down from the true championship contenders. I think it’s pretty unlikely Penn State matches West Virginia’s energy, which means it’s likely to be very close unless WVU pisses the bed or Penn State is more talented than I think.

I’m going big or going home in Week 1 of this competition. Might as well try to rack up bonus points early.

Just use KC...it's more recognizable than IJKCC. It took me a minute to figure out you meant me! :D

WVU's d will be very much improved. it lost nothing and gets two stud starters back who were both out before the 5th game. WVU's d was stout early on especially against the run. PSU had 14 at the half. it was 14-7.

wvu d backs sucked last year and WVU added good talent in the portal to address it. the only real loss on the entire team was at center. zack frazier now starting center for steelers. he will be missed.
