Payton is frustrated and rightfully so, his G league stock continues to drop.
I only switched it over to the 2nd half after our game ended. They got thoroughly dominated in every phase of the game in the 2nd half. Minnesota even tried to gift them the game at the free-throw line.

Crying about officials is absolutely laughable given how they've looked the last week.

I'm not sure Devries would leave WV this offseason. He would have to pay WV 37.5% of his remaining contract if he were to leave for another job prior to April 30, 2028. I could possibly see Iowa use a "bridge" head coach for a couple years until Devries' contract with WV is about to expire

That would be a pretty bad look to leave a job after one year to take the Iowa Job.

He wouldn't pay anything, it would be Iowa paying.

I see some of the responses from fans are "late start", "Weather", etc.

If Iowa women were playing Minnesota there probably would have been 14,000 there. Although the shine of the Iowa women is coming off also.

Either way Iowa state played Central Florida and had a great crowd. it did start at 7, but I don't think time and weather is the issue. Something is going to have to change if they are only getting 3-4k to a mens game.

Aren't the Iowa women not very good?

Their attendance will follow the trend.

Getting front row tickets for three bucks is not a good way to build a Big 10 program.

which they wont do unless someone like Krause shifts his spending habits from Italian soccer to Iowa MBB and foots the bill
Iowa can't afford a buyout; heck, they can't even afford to pay back the university the money they borrowed to cover expenses from COVID.

If anything, Fran will "retire" after this year since his son graduates from high school, and they will relocate to Indiana. He will negotiate some kind of payout for the rest of his contract and ride off into the sunset.

As for DeVries, why would you want that dumpster fire? If Fran leaves, who stays, Harding, young Sandfort, Mulvey? Dix and Freeman will go portaling, and the freshmen don't play, so who knows what you are getting with them? That program will be a complete rebuild if Fran leaves.

Coaches aren't afraid of a rebuild...nothing was more of a complete rebuild than when TJ took the program over in Ames. Although Iowa State had enjoyed more "recent" success and fandom than the program in IC has...

Not really. He stuck around Drake for longer than most thought he would and it would be "going home" for him, so most people would understand. It's not like anyone is going to worry about him jumping ship from Iowa after one year.
