I can't explain just how much I love getting this division and the west more and fewer games against the east.
The central is... Meh.

A little while ago I wrote that I was sorta kinda beginning to trust Pagan a little bit. Not so much now.
It baffles me how many times they need to watch him melt down before they finally get rid of him. There are minor league arms that would do better.

Remember when the Twins got blasted for taking Joe Mauer over Mark Prior? Prior was hurt all the time and flamed out quickly. Let's hope Royce is not the next Mark Prior.

That was one case where that Twins ownership being tight asses and paid off through dumb luck. Everything at that time suggested that Prior was a no-brainer #1 but was going to demand way more money and be tougher to negotiate with.

Not many other ways to say it, except Buxton is just physically incapable of playing at full-go over any significant length of time.

Can still be valuable, but "base-stealing Center Fielder" is a pipe dream, whether they'll explicitly say this eventually or not.

At least he'll likely stay at the low end of his contract which as a DH isn't a horrible contract. Dude is made of glass.

Twins get a much needed win today and Ryan goes to 7-1. Relievers finally have a good outing.
Twins broadcast had Duran at 105 mph. Incredible.

Per ESPN

Through Tuesday, the Twins were on pace to win 83 games despite a run differential that would translate to a 95-win level of play if we project it out over 162 games. That 12-win gap is the largest in the AL

If I’ve said it once on here, I’ve said it a thousand times: Joe Ryan is the freakin’ man.

Duran is simply filthy. His combo of velocity and movement is ridiculous.

Ryan has been incredible.

Correa now batting a robust .216
What a great investment. The Twins sure know how to pick 'em.

League best ERA.

Buxton and Correa combined .160 with runners in scoring position. Rest of the team .281.

There’s the problem.
