So the matchups are (Big East : Big 12)
#1 at #1
#3 at #4
#4 vs #2
#5 vs #3
#2 vs #10
#6 vs #6
#8 vs #8
#10 at #7
#7 at #5
#9 at #9

One of those seems to be out of the normal range. Could have had #2 Creighton vs #5 Ok St, #10 Butler at #9 K St, #9 Marquette vs #10 Iowa St. and nobody is more than a couple slots off. I mean, if we have to play that big of standing gap, at least let us host and have #2 at #10.

Creighton is replacing their entire starting 5. Tough place to play but they won't be good next year.

Not to mention a perfect road trip for Cyclone fans to a venue that serves beer.

Way up there
Attendance will be interesting, this close of a location screams Cyclone takeover but Jays fans show up as good as anyone in the country. If we weren't in a rebuild, this would be a tough ticket.

Is it completely based on last year, or do the factor in projections for this year?

I’m guessing too an extent they factor in previous matchups too.

I'm surprised KU didn't draw Creighton versus St Johns.
They are using Kansas to highlight the first college game to be held at the NY Islanders new arena:

It sucks that Kansas has to play a lesser opponent but so it goes. Plenty of other tough games once again this year.

Being early in the season and the amount of restructure that both teams underwent, it will be interesting to see which team gels quicker. We loaded with transfers who have experience (just not together) while they have mostly freshmen for newcomers.

I’ll take the OGs.

Big 12 'ship at 11 am. Basketball gamewatch after (assuming the BB game isn't stupid early)

With pre-gaming for football, I hope it's not stupid late either. But maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself there.

FB game would probably be over ~3:00, perfect time for the hoops game would be around dinner. It won't be any later than 8.

Seems like I saw Creighton in the early slots on FS1 a lot, so we could easily get stuck.
