Cole Pedersen was just upgraded to a 4 star by 24/7. Perhaps not composite, but by their rankings. They said they loved the kids athleticism, measurements, and drill statistics. They also said every single game he is the best on the field. Pretty high praise.

Hunter Dekkers did OK :D

https://siouxcityjournal.com/sports...cle_bd32aa57-2ac0-5a5a-8089-880899760576.html

Hunter Dekkers and Kade Lynott were too much for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley to handle here Friday night.

Iowa State University football recruit Dekkers amassed 532 total yards and passed for five touchdowns while Lynott scored five times, leading defending Iowa Class 1A state champion West Sioux to a 63-35 season-opening victory.

Dekkers completed 18 of 31 passes for 441 yards and added 91 rushing yards on 11 carries, picking up where he left off last season. The talented 6-2, 225-pound lefthander was the state’s leading passer while ushering the Falcons to their second consecutive state title. ...

West Sioux’s opponent, Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, won the game last year and went on to finish 2nd in state in Class 2A. They were ranked 2nd to start this year, by the Des Moines Register. West Sioux is ranked 1st in 1A.

Here was the Register’s pregame prediction:

2A-No. 2 Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley vs. 1A-No. 1 West Sioux
Analysis: Trekking up to Siouxland for this final pick. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley shellacked West Sioux in last year's opener, 42-16. It was the Falcons' only loss of the season, as they went on to win the 1A state title. It'll be a tall order for future Cyclone quarterback Hunter Dekkers, as the Nighthawks are routinely one of 2A's toughest outs.

Pick: 1A-No. 1 West Sioux, 42-35

Readers’ Vote: 1A-No. 1 West Sioux, 55%

2018 Records — Cody, 56-24; Readers, 51-29.

So the prediction was right on for BH/RV’s points at 35. But West Sioux scored 21 more than predicted, to win the game 63 to 35.
