Glad we didn't extend Hamels, looks like a waste of $18 million (pre-prorated, of course) for the Braves.

I'm feeling really good about our bats this year; I am concerned about the question marks with our pitching.
I know maybe 3 of our relievers

I thought it was ur pen that was the issue?

You're both right.

I'd just be thrilled with some reliability from our starters this year. It just seemed so hit or miss all last year. Darvish was either unhittable or awful. Kyle took about 1/2 the year to get going. Lester was hit or miss. Quintana was pretty reliably bad.

I think I speak for Twins fans everywhere when I kindly say the following:

SCREW you!!
You don't have to be a Twins fan to hate the Yankees.

By the way, I mirror you. Cubs are my team but my back up team is the Twins. You can probably figure out why.

Because you don’t get enough kicks to the balls as a Cyclone fan?

Prediction for Friday:

(R) Bryant 3B
(L) Rizzo 1B
(R) Baez SS
(L) Schwarber LF
(R) Contreras C
(L) Kipnis 2B
(S) Happ CF
(L) Heyward RF
(R) Hoerner DH

It'll be tough to keep Hoerner out of the lineup against righties - he hits righties better than lefties despite being a righty himself. But I also think Kipnis is going to be the leader we've needed for 4-5 years and would like to see him get a shot.

I'm not near as high on Kipnis as you are. I'd just as soon see Hoerner or Happ get the majority of the reps at 2nd.

Well, looks like we’re a go and will start games in a month.

Can’t wait to see how Ross fares as manager
After watching the Yankees and Nationals kneel for the national anthem, I will be watching NO MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL this year.

Here's my crotchety old man take. I'm not a fan of the DH. This whole COVID pandemic was simply a ploy to ease into an NL DH. I'm also against masks on catchers. If they can't catch the thing, they don't deserve to have an unbroken nose.
