Havent paid much attention, but did come across this by Zach Johnson. Oops.
He was able to retire with no penalty, as the rule states, the hole doesnt start until a stroke at the ball is made. Everyone there including the officials agreed this wasnt a stroke at the ball.
He went on to birdie the hole.
