Since the Vikings season is pretty much over, I decided to take a look at some early mock drafts and not really liking what I have seen so far. A few of these sites have QB Brett Hundley going #3 to Minnesota. I'm not so sure he is 1st round quality right now. Mariotta should go #1 to Jacksonville. Tampa at #2 I would imagine go with Clowney. Minnesota #3 should go Bridgewater. I would have no problem going with LB Anthony Barr, if they think they can snag someone like Derek Carr in the 2nd round. If anyone else has looked at any mock drafts, please share your thoughts on your team.

This one has Kyle Lichtenberg going in Rd. 7 to SF HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! And Kirby going as the 4th to last pick to NE. They also have Derek Carr going towards the bottom of the 4th round.

I think Bridgewater is the 1st pick.
I think the only ISU guys that have a shot at getting drafted are Jacques and Watson depending on their performance in draft camps. Kirby might not get drafted but will have a ton of offers and get to pick his best chance to win a job somewhere.

Besides the obvious QB, can the Vikings draft a new coaching staff ?

I would love to see Frazier demoted to DC if they can find a quality HC. Muschamp should be replaced too!!

I think Mariotta or Bridgewater would be the top 2 options in the first rd. I like Derek Carr a lot, but a QB who is a dual threat would be better suited for the offense.

FAVORITE FOOTBALL THREAD THIS YEAR. Alright Vikings, this is our time to shine. In most mocks we are looking at the third pick. I believe QB's go one and two. If that happens then we have to go Clowney or Barr. Then tank next season and get Winston. Someone should promote me to GM.

Also, besides the Ponder pick, the Vikings have had really good drafts with a lot of young players making big impacts right away.

The Vikings should draft anything but a QB, settle for a bad record next year, and hope that FSU QB goes pro next year.

If Mariotta and Bridgewater are not available, I say go with Barr then get a QB in the 2nd rd... McCarron or Carr. Maybe take Clowney if Jared Allen is not going to be back... A few mocks having us take Brett Hundley. If that happens, I might just stop watching NFL because I can't be a fan of any other team and I will lose all hope in the Vikes. Hundley will be no more successful that Ponder, but Mariotta and/or Bridgewater could be huge game changers.

Isn't he a true freshmen ? Wouldn't that mean he wouldn't be eligible until the 2016 draft ?

I can't remember the rules but I thought you had to be three years out of high school.

Bridewater, Mariota, or trade down 1-2 picks for someone who wants Clowney and take whichever QB you like most. Boyd wouldn't be bad either. Not sold on Hundley.

Really hoping for a top 2 pick.

It will be interesting to see who goes 1 and 2. Also, how much would it take for the Vikes to move to #1 or 2.

I'm looking forward to April. I'm not the type of fan who wants to keep losing though to get a good pick.

I get it, but it is seriously in the best interests of Vikings fans to lose out. There is no advantage to winning.

The only people who benefit from winning are Leslie Frasier, Spielman, and any player who is not for sure a long term part of the Vikings plan.

There is no benefit to missing out on your choice of QBs, none.

Look at last time we had the #3 pick, we missed on Luck and RG3 by one and two picks. Kalil was a great pick last year, but hasn't looked great this year and even if he was, those QBs are so much more valuable.

Yeah I'm not saying it'd be terrible to lose out and possibly get a top 2 pick. But I'm a diehard fan and can't hope my team loses. I do understand what you're saying though. It'd be great to have a franchise guy like Luck.

I think Teddy Bridgewater will be fantastic in the NFL. He's big, strong, and athletic, but he doesn't overly rely on his athleticism, he lets his arm do most of the damage. I think he will be better than Mariota so hopefully for the Vikes, The Jags or Tampa falls in love with him. Hopefully one of them decides to take Clowney and whoever is there at the top of the 2nd.
