So they added Di Maria, which is good, but that defense though. Will they continue this 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 stuff with 3 inexperienced CBs? Do they have any mid fielders that can actually defend?

Sounds like we're close to signing Daley Blind from Ajax. Bring back Luke Shaw, Rafael and Johnny Evans from injury and then add Marcos Rojo to the mix.

However, the 3-4-1-2 clearly isn't working with what we have now. That defense is paper thin.

Man U lost to MK Dons 4-0? I know it's only the Capital One Cup and they were resting their starters but it's still surprising.

how does Man U have enough money after that signing? No CL, so 25 mil gone from their budget. Chevy gave them a lot of money but still.

Heard LVG had about 250 million to work with for transfers.

59.7 million for di Maria
29 million for Ander Herrera
27 million for Luke Shaw
16 million for Marcos Rojo

For a grand total of 131.7 million spent

Spend all you want, doesn't mean you'll finish top 4.... Looking at you Tottenham.

Personally, I love seeing Man U struggle.

Resting starters or not, losing 4-0 to a League One team certainly raises questions. And the goals they gave up were pretty ugly, I think basically every one was because of atrocious defending.

Totally agree. Total dumpster fire of a game. Just proves that LVG's 3-5-2 isn't working, maybe with Shaw, Rojo, Jones or possibly Blind (if he signs), but not with reserve players.

that much money just to lose to a division 3 team?

Herrera and Shaw are both injured (go figure), Rojo is still waiting on a work permit, and di Maria signed 2 hours before kickoff today.

Anyone see the Champion's League draw? City got paired with Bayern and Roma, that's a tough group. Arsenal get to play Dortmund yet again, Chelsea got it pretty easy I'd say.

Falcao to man city? I love the end of the transfer window, so many fun rumors.

Falcao to Man United. This transfer deadline day is going to be so disappointing when we end up left with Sanogo, who has all the grace of a newborn foal, as our first choice striker through the end of the year.

Sounds like Danny Welbeck is having a medical at Arsenal, I'm not over the moon about it but it's damn sure better than Sanogo. Seems odd for United to sell us a forward when it would seem we're going to be fighting for the same spots at the end of the season and it's clear that's one of our needs.
