Iowa State's attendance is great this year compared to what our record is. Iowa State is 26th in the Nation in attendance with an average of 12,491. There beating teams like: Georgetown (12,040) and UCONN (11,685).

that surprises me for georgetown since they are usually ranked and play in a 20K+ arena. ISU actually averages more people per game than uconn's arena even holds 10,027 officially.

glad to see that people are still pumped to see the mayor coach and believe in ISU even though we are rebuilding this year

Considering our record I'm impressed but should have known with CFH at the helm he'd draw a good crowd. Curious to see a list ranking the schools who bring in the highest % of total capacity each game.

These are 09-10 numbers, not 10-11...

Anyways, I think we're about the same this year. I think actual attendance is up, but announced seems like it's a bit down.

Iowa had 1150 more than us Saturday, and they're in last place too. Let's stop this "no one supports the worst team in any conference better" Because Iowa is right now.

Iowa hits the chart at 48 btw so it looks like we do. Those are last years numbers, but we both sucked last year and we averaged about 3k more than them.

So Iowa had a higher attendance for one game and all of a sudden they support their team when it is down? The place was a morgue last year. ISU STILL brought people. In my mind, there isn't a comparison.

Usually, attendance doesn't equal number of butts in seats. It's the number of tickets sold.
CU has real butts in their 15000. They turn out...er, they usually turn out...er, maybe not as much.

CU has real butts in their 15500. THey turn out.
Have you been to a Creighton game this year? I have been to 3 and the lower bowl is maybe half full and they are paid for seats that count for attendance. Omaha is not interested in this years team. I also went to 3 CU games last year and it was packed for every game 20k this year actual prob 7-8,000. Factor in market size and ISU kills CU.

I think ISU's "good attendance" is due in large part to how little there is to do in Ames. At least in IC they have a great nightlife scene and the Cheba Hut!
