Vandy beat 19 Florida today. Just what we needed.
Yeah this team has a few wins against unranked teams that are making good runs but no national attention due to their overall record. Hopefully the Committee takes into account those wins.

Not Big 12 but Miami beating Duke currently.

Tough spot to be for Jeff Capel and I'm not sure this Duke team is really that good as it is.

Damn, was hoping TCU would pull the upset. Kansas and Baylor seem to be separating themselves from the rest of the league. Should be a good battle for the remaining tourney bids.

Tech got curbstopmed by Oklahoma State at home? I really am completely lost right now on trying to predict who will finish 4 through 10 in this league.

OSU has too much talent to have the record they have. Their defense is atrocious, but if they can get that to even average, they will be tough to handle (or if you don't shoot well against them).

The KU weakness, "Terrible" Landen Lucas had 14 more rebounds, bringing his total in Big 12 play to a conference leading 80. ISU's two leading rebounders, Morris and Burton, have combined for 74 rebounds in Big 12 play.

We have three experienced senior guards to aggressively attack the press, if we can lose the rebound battle by a net 5-7 on offensive rebounds we will beat WV twice

OU made WV's press look pretty silly. I more concerned with our ability to to gather clean rebounds than I am breaking their press. Small ball is probably the best recipe for success against WV. Sure, you might give up a concerning amount of second chance points but good guard play turns into 3's in transition and layups.

WVU's bigs aren't very good. Hugs plays 10 guys. But he doesn't have a rim protector like he's had in the past. So, if a team gets beyond their first level pressure, the goal is open.

And on offense, WVU is not strong with the ball. Lots of turnovers.

They're in a bit of a funk right now. I expect they'll come out of it. Hopefully, Tuesday.

Yeah, if you can break their press without turning it over much, and make them pay for it, you are in good shape. Their half court defense isn't all that good either, and their half court offense is even worse.

Great teams seldom use the press as an everyday tactic. Bob Knight made that observation years ago. It's proven to be the case more than the exception. Hugs himself has said as much about WVU basketball.
