Paul Rhoads gave a shout out to Donnie after our last win against Iowa on national tv. At the time people wondered why Paul said "this ones for you Donnie Duncan" to the sideline reporter but knew Donnie was in bad shape and probably watching the game on tv.
It's a pretty savvy move on Matts part. Matt doesn't know the Iowa high school coaches yet and I have no doubt Mac is beloved by those same coaches. What better opportunity for Matt to get to know Coach Mac and get credibility with the high school coaches at the same time.
