    ****Official Iowa State-Texas Postgame thread****

so the "who knows if they had legit officiating" did not give refs any blame? Come on, you just stated it without entirely stating it

one thing i noticed on CF is if something goes wrong, blame the refs. Well, the refs werent the cause of the loss, it was the **** poor play

    ****Official Iowa State-Texas Postgame thread****

Re: ****Official Iowa State-Texas Postgame thread uh watching from TV it was fair officiating. Hell, they even missed a couple false start penalties, one by KO. A lot of the calls on ISU side were blatant, except for one which was iffy. The passing interference play was the only one I thought...

    Roy Jones Jr KTFO

every boxer does this, they think they still can fight, and get owned. But, it's hard to determine when your time is done. When you can still own 99.99% of the world in boxing its hard to feel that you can lose. Does not mean they are a joke. Past their prime and now going downhill? yes, but...

    Roy Jones Jr KTFO

don't call one of the most dominant boxers in his time a joke. Is he too old to fight? yes, but no reason to call him a joke. Remember there was a time when he couldn't even be touched, and his constant weight switching finally took a toll on him. Some boxers don't know when to call it...

    The job market

Since I dont feel like writing a whole argument as this looks like no one will change opinions, I will state my last thing on this 1. You seem to have an anger towards engineers because of the incompetent (which is in ALL majors, mind you) who do not prep enough for their job. Pretty silly to...

    The job market

I take it you got tired of people ragging on your degree so you have utter hatred against them? -Zero sense of history? I'm sorry we dont give a **** about the history of twine or some other crap my roommate (who is also a history major) learned. Half the **** he told me he learned was utter...

    The job market

Wait what? you do realize the average IQ for the "hard science" majors is generally a lot higher than those of soft majors? How exactly are they educationally ********? I understand the argument of people doing the softer majors because they enjoy them. You should do what you like, but I hope...

You're not going to get an MBA with a GPA that isn't even 3.0 just to warn you.

    The job market

The socially competent a few and bar between. I know a bunch of people who has over 3.5 GPA and can not express their ideas at all. I also know a few defy the stereotype, but not enough to make me change my mind about engineers with 3.8+ GPA. 2.6-3.1 to me personally I considered just slackers...

    The job market

I think your exaggerating a bit, I qualified for EVERY Chem E. internship last year and I can tell you my GPA was not 3.5 (it is in the 3.3 range, which I've also been told is the gold standard for graduate school). I also had 8 interviews and turned down a few because I just applied to try my luck

    The job market

Bull, friends got internships with 3.0~ GPA's The highest fortune 500 company requirement I saw was a 3.2. 3.5 is insanely high for engineers to be a minimum. Maybe for other majors that aren't as strenuous, but most engineering companies rather have a 3.0 GPA person that has a life and shown...

    The job market

GPA is just a checkmark. For engineering, you can have a 3.37 or a 3.9 and they wouldn't give a **** as long as it is above 3.0.

    The job market

Idk about that. If you know how to sell yourself to employers with not only your rèsumè and cover letter, but also your people skills, getting through interviews with them thinking of you as a potential hire is quite simple. Problem is, a lot of people lack that ability and fail to practice it.

    The job market

I've heard GPA only matters in the first 1-2 jobs and after that it doesn't matter anymore because you have enough experience to prove if you're worth it or not

    Good Players, Bad Teams...

they were bad, hate to break it to you Its kind of sad when Oklahoma says they are going to shut us out, then actually do it. Entirely bent over and took it

    Good Players, Bad Teams...

This, its a bit tiring trying to explain it to people that our schedule last year wasn't so bad and a bowl game should of been expected because of it. Its kind of frustrating how people dismiss ESPN/Rivals/etc. when anything bad comes out that mentions ISU, but stick entirely to "facts" given by...
