    49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

Brock was in the middle of shooting a commercial and actually noticed a coyote stalking this off-duty reporter, her son, and her dog and shouted out a warning. I actually cannot think of anything more indicative of awareness and real time processing speed than that...lol! The coyote was like...

Cinnamon Rolls or Corn Bread with Chili?

I grew up in NW IA. Chili was served with cinnamon rolls as the dessert. HOWEVER, there was also a side: Lettuce sandwiches. That's right...white bread, butter, Miracle Whip and...lettuce. Very weird....and surprisingly good!:)

    RIP Donnie Duncan

Sad to hear this...I believe you simply from looking at the video....obvious end-stage cancer. He had many accomplishments in the football world...great to see that he received an award before he passed. I was in Jr. High/HS when he was Coach, but my Dad (who was 2 years younger than Donnie...

    Hotel horror stories

Like you, I traveled 200+ nights for many years....and have a ton of stories about hotels. There were nights I didn't sleep & one where I moved nearly all of the furniture in the room to block the door. Dirty sheets, rooms already occupied, prostitutes down the hall...the norm. My husband...

Hoiberg Watch 2015: Sunday, May 31 Open Thread

I understand what you mean there...but he has known those guys for awhile. I don't know "who" it was...but I think someone truly ****** him off; enough to leave.

Hoiberg Watch 2015: Sunday, May 31 Open Thread

I thought at the time that the Bubu thing would lead to his leaving....I got the feeling from his comments and demeanor at the time that he was very angry about that. Not the actual situation (not having Bubu on the team)....he was being "micromanaged" by someone(s). Frankly, I don't give a...

I saw that you were in Houston...thought maybe your "collection" was found up here. We do sell for out of State clients...have had collections mailed to us from Arizona, Ohio, Florida, and other places. Happy to put them into a sale for you if you would like. The advantage is that collectors...

    Coin Collection & Appraisal

Hi. We conduct coin auctions monthly; can tell you everything that you want to know about them if you are in the area. For example, on Saturday we sold approximately 100 Morgan Dollars (like yours below); none went for less than $27.50...most for more...one went for over $4000. Here's our...

We drive through Jester Park often (by Polk City); I think they have quite a number of primitive sites.

    RIP Steve Little

Steve and some of the other guys were in several of my classes when I was a Freshman/Soph. I became friends with them, they nicknamed me "Little Sis." Steve got a big kick out of picking me up with one arm and carting me around Campustown. The funniest thing is that if I was at the Cave...

    What's your favorite summer recipe?

Buy an electric smoker. My husband has both both types, but the electric one is the regularly used version because you can literally just put the stuff in and walk away. He puts it out in our driveway, plugs it in in the garage. We have our office at home too, and it really works out well...

    What's your favorite summer recipe?

Just FYI, I make ranch dressing and dip without using the pre-packaged mix. Just tons of dill weed, plus, garlic powder, onion powder, usually some chives, and a little paprika. So, if you like those flavors, you might try adding them in as the herbs/spices...should avoid the headaches which...

Bad Marketing Ideas - What Are The Worst?

The stupid "Out here we call it the Yield Bump" commercials. Come to think of it, about 50% of all ads for ag products are condescending. One a few years ago had a farmer saying something along the lines of: "My office is the tailgate of my pickup truck"....meanwhile my husband was running a...
