One thing that comforts me...
Clearly being in the B10 is an advantage. I have not contested that. I am just saying that if your concern is academics then being out of the B12 and being in a non-BCS conference isn't automatically a major step down.- egami

If this is truly your concern then getting out of the B12 shouldn't be much of an issue. What has the B12 affiliation really merited for ISU in terms of academics? If your primary concern is truly conference academia and not athletics then this question probably should have been raised long...- egami

I think you buy pre-loaded SD's with maps for that model...and I think that's one of the models that for a one-time fee you get that updates for life for that device. -

The Garmin maps, I believe, are proprietary. So, there may be a way to hack them without paying, but it's probably painful if you're not too techy.
