    I think I saw ISU's punter with a 3-step kick. Did I not see it correctly? If so, that is a big part of the reason for the blocks. Gives the rushers more time in which to cover less distance. Have to fix that.

    Diew defense was outstanding. She was guarding Gray a significant number of minutes. Gray was obviously bothered by Diew's length and wasn't any more effective against her than against Lexi. Nyamer is really growing as a player.

    If I wanted to watch wrestling, I would have been in Des Moines. Here is a typical part of that game and the officiating. The clock stopped for 30 seconds and NOBODY NOTICED. That doesn't affect the outcome of the game but it does say a lot about the amateurish officiating and oversight of the game.

    Donarski held KU's leading scorer Kersgieter to half her season average. Think that more than makes up for the four fouls Lexi's defensive play against what is generally the opponent's top scorer is a part of her game that does not get nearly enough attention. She is truly an all-around player.

    I would like to see the Joel Lanning Heart and Soul Award be extended to all ISU athletics rather than limited to football. That kind of loyalty and devotion to his teammates, team and ISU is an example for all athletes.
