Ref telling Jayphee Philbert "Dont talk to me"

And the Big Ten works with the MAC and Missouri Valley. It's all based on geography, as it should be. This is why you see the same basketball officials working Big Ten and Big XII games over, and over, and over again.

    Is Lanning our Beathard?

Exactly which stretches were those? He saw one possession early against Ball State when Iowa was playing terrible, then promptly led the team on their only decent offensive drive of the first 52 minutes of the game, only to have a beautiful would-be TD pass overturned by replay. He played the...

    Is Lanning our Beathard?

Beatherd had shown enough. A double digit comeback on the road at Pittsburgh where he played the entire second half, and he also started a won a conference road game. He had demonstrated a far more extensive body of work than whatever Lanning has done. Also, Ferentz has/had a history of...

Ref telling Jayphee Philbert "Dont talk to me"

You realize that these guys all have regular jobs, right, and tend to live in the geographic area where they officiate? Why would a guy that lives in California want to ref in the ACC all year?

Bill Snyder sends an appology letter to students for 55-0 loss to OU

He's old. That's what they do.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

    1) I don't respect you enough to agree to that. 2) I already won. WKU and Ark are dead even according to Sagarin, with WKU favored if the game were at their place. YOU ALREADY LOST. 3) Toledo was dominated in just about every aspect of the game by both Ark and ISU (who everyone agrees is...

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

UNI or Kansas. The only reason they'd say Iowa is because the stadium would actually be full and it would make it onto a real TV station.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Iowa has the #10 scoring D in the country, #4 rushing D, and #12 total D. TTech is 114th, 123rd, and 123rd. That's like saying that Bill Gates has more money than me, but it's closer than the disparity would indicate. You people really live in your own little fantasy world, don't you?

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

By what objective measure? Arkansas isn't very good, in my opinion. They lost at home to a MAC team and a weak Big XII team. Indiana already has a win over 6-1 Western Kentucky, who would be very competitive with Arky. Sagarin has them exactly 11 spots apart. And in fact, if you add in the...

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Based on what? They are completely different styles of both offense and defense. On what planet would you consider them equal? Sagarin has Iowa at 14 and Texas Tech at 32.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

OK, I'll bet you $8 million. What are you, like 12? I think it's time for mommy to tuck you in.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Never said they were good, Skip. Try to follow along. TTech isn't any better. Indiana has the better OL, QB, and RB. If the two teams played, both would get into the 60's, and the last team to have the ball would win. They are comparable teams in both talent and coaching.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Indiana gave the number 1 team in the country their toughest game of the year, but all you care about is that TTech beat a 2-4 SEC team with a fat coach. I feel like I'm picking on the fat kid at recess and stealing his lunch money. You just aren't very sharp.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

You must have missed when Indiana was like 5 yards away from tying Ohio State in the last minute of the game, with their back-up QB and RB playing the entire 2nd half. You know as much about football as my grandmother's pet gerbil.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

No, you should try and form your own opinion and not be such a braindead moron that has to let other people do his thinking for him.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Texas is what, 2-4? Please compare, in detail, the rosters of Texas Tech and Illinois and give the strengths and weakness of each player. Tech's defense sucks, but they score boatloads of points. Newsflash: so does Indiana.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

What does that have to do with anything? I watch football and form my own opinions. You don't think if Iowa finishes in the Top 10 this year Beatherd will get some serious NFL looks? Connor Cook was nobody until after MSU finished in the Top 5 for the first time. He didn't even win the...

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Then neither are ISU or Texas Tech. Texas is awful. KSU just got beat by half a hundred. I fail to see the lack of cupcakes in your elite conference.

Iowa State would compete in Big Ten

Which is about the dumbest possible way to form an opinion on anything. Hackenburg has been the supposed #1 pick in the draft for 2 years running, and he's currently 8th in the B1G in passer rating. Cook is #3, and Beatherd is #5. Of course Cook is going to get more pub, he's been around a...

Happen to catch last year's TCU/Kansas game? Didn't KU just play a close game against a team that set a conference record for offense against you the week before?
