Never thought I'd take advice from a Hawkeye;)

    Writing a Book

I don't think I'll have an issue with the fact that it will be difficult and intense. I'm writing on fear. I've lived through thousands of panic attacks in my life and faced doubt with every panic attack I've faced and always bounced back. I love adversity because it challenges you to find the...

    Writing a Book

Ill look into it. I want to write a non fiction book about overcoming life's obstacles, particularly fear.

    Writing a Book

Alright, so I've told myself for a long time I really want to write a book. Anyone on here ever done it? Do you have any secrets or tricks that help make the process easier? TIA

    *** Official #17 IOWA STATE vs #6 Oklahoma State Game(Day) Thread ***

Just in awe by the play calling. Wihh an aggressive defense like that you need to hit quick and attack the one on one coverage.

NOTEBOOK: Cyclones looking to hop on “defensive bus” as practice gets underway

What I appreciate is the fact that Prohm knows this is an issue and he is trying to correct it. He may get it wrong many times, but at least he's not just trying to ignore it and just continue to work on offense. I have not been a Prohm supporter, but I have noticed that areas he's shown...

NOTEBOOK: Cyclones looking to hop on “defensive bus” as practice gets underway

Offense is the fun thing to work on as a player, so kids will do it on their own. Take the practice time to focus on defense, I appreciate it!

    Lincoln Riley post game

That's the difference between a coach who plays for national titles and one who doesn't imo. There are things you influence but don't control. You have to pay attention to how refs are calling games and adjust. ******** about it doesn't do much for you, it just tries to get you pity. So glad we...

    Depth Chart 2020

It certainly could but I'm sure Campbell has preferences on things other than seniority. All seniority means is you're entitled because of years, it doesn't mean you're better at a particular thing. I am willing to bet that one does better in an area than another. I'm assuming it's attention to...

PODCAST: Jamie Pollard on the last 14 days

Thats everybody though. It starts somewhere. Stubborn always wins, even when it loses.

PODCAST: Jamie Pollard on the last 14 days

I haven't listened to it yet but my thing is that you don't need to be an ******* to someone to get your point across. We have fartoo many entitled people in Ames. So many are worried about themselves and not the bigger picture. Jamie is trying to do what is best for Iowa State Athletics. Oddly...

    Depth Chart 2020

Campbell doesn't play for the future, he plays for now. If Foster is currently the best one, then he will play. It means Treiber needs to step up his game to overcome him. This is about where you're at, not where you're going to be. It's also what makes Campbell great, he plays his best players.

Tyrese Hunter PG '21 - Committed!

And his tenacity. And his ability to dribble in traffic. And his speed/quickness. I don't usually pump up recruits but I think this kid is going to be really good. I think he will be a borderline 5 star if he improves some on his shot.

****Official Class of 2021 Recruiting Thread****

Thanks for the video. Love the looks of this kids game from this. Very quick first step with what appears to be solid handles. As long as there is no big ego, would love to have him. Also, he reminds me of a bigger Mike Taylor from the McDermott years.

Iowa State announces reversal of plans to have fans in the stands for season opener

Was it? We know Pollard likes to be the center of attention and is always pushing for more. Why not go big and if you get push back, you get push back? It's not like they had a bad plan in place. As long as nobody died, they can go backwards. To me, this adds confidence in our athletic...

Iowa State announces reversal of plans to have fans in the stands for season opener

Or maybe it was part of the plan? See what kind of pushback they receive if they try pushing the limits? I do feel like Pollard threw Wendy under the bus saying it's her decision. You're a team, act like one.

    Tyler Harris eligible!

Yes, we haven't had a ton of depth though either. I would imagine if you go and look at how Kennedy coached, you'll see what Prohm will do with substitutes.

    Tyler Harris eligible!

At the same time, those at the end of the bench need to bring it to practice. Minutes in a game are dictated by the work you put in. I cannot fault a coach for not playing kids if they aren't doing everything they need to do outside of game time.

    The Athletic- Big XII Predictions

Remember, all consistency starts with inconsistencies. I will guarantee Campbell sees the patterns that are showing up in his career and is working to identify why they are occurring. Also, the foundation of this program is looking like it's just about set. I would imagine this year or next...
