What’s your Thanksgiving and Christmas going to look like?

It just doesn't make sense to pass through 2-3 airports directly to older family who are taking things very responsibly for 7 months now.

    Lowe's vs. Home Depot

I recently probably saved $100 on painting supplies with Harbor Freightn to repaint a whole house vs Home Depot. Saved about $40 on drop cloths and plastic coverings alone vs Home Depot. Some of it was the same brand. Went high end on paint and brushes, harbor freight for all other supplies.

    Lowe's vs. Home Depot

It's crazy to me that Lowes and Home Depot are 100x bigger than my local independent store, but if I need to find some screw, nut or bolt they are guaranteed not to have it and the little mom and pops store has it every single time.

Spencer Tillman in love with the Oklahoma State Defense, hates our team

And 1 or 2 teams get in the playoff that didn't play a non-conference at all. That's another cherry on it :-)

Spencer Tillman in love with the Oklahoma State Defense, hates our team

A rematch vs this OK State team we lost to is the best path to a Big 12 Championship ISU football has ever had.

Wisconsin QB tests positive for Covid

Every other year the teams start at the same time. We're talking about teams that have played 5 and 6 games being ranked besides teams that have played 1? Penn State's 1 game is a loss to Indiana? Why even rank them at all until they prove they can beat somebody next week? How to weight the...

Wisconsin QB tests positive for Covid

LMAO that a team with a 4th string QB that played one game is ranked #9. Maybe let these teams starting the season late earn their way up the polls instead of just granting them top 10 status because they play in the most overrated conference in football.

Wisconsin QB tests positive for Covid

In hindsight the best strategy would have been to start a 9-10 game season in early August with strict protocols. Allow a longer season to get in less games. It may not be fair but AP voters need to consider a team's ability to stay healthy in the rankings this year. Some of it is luck, some...

    Where should I move?

I just drove through LV on my way back from Utah camping trip. New city of clone houses pops up every time. I don't think it's sustainable w water use. Still always surprised it's only 8 minutes to drive through entire LV metro on I15. Takes longer to drive through omaha or des moines.

    Where should I move?

Agreed. I should check out carson city more because I don't know it that well but the location fits some of my retirement goals. I'm surprised nobody in the thread brought up the south carolina cities. From what I've heard it might be ideal for op.

    Where should I move?

Reno is kind of a s-hole but I'd live on the outskirts of the area in a heartbeat if I could find good work I enjoy there. Yeah the fires suck this year but it's an amazing climate and beauty if Sierras everywhere at a reasonable price. Evil Californian here so what do I know.

Why is our passing game hot garbage?

Purdy back but still maybe chance fr great season. I'd have thought the two were mutually exclusive.

Have you ever had a paranormal experience?

Whomever had the "tiny bigfoot" experience they told here years ago, please tell again. I loved it even if it's bs.

On That Note: In the Year '95 (at 25)

I come onto things late, I just started listening to Pulp a lot lately. The song "underwear" is incredible. I'm just always listening to 20-30 year old music. I'll probably be listening to today's music in 30 years.

On That Note: In the Year '95 (at 25)

This entire album is very good. The worst song is like a 7/10. They could have picked any random song to release as singles and it wouldn't have mattered. Second album quite a letdown from this and not surprised that was it.

On That Note: In the Year '95 (at 25)

In '95 I was a high school kid but all I listened to were The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. The Bends from '95 is a top 10 album for me now, but I didn't actually really listen to it until about 2005 other than hearing the two "hits" from time to time. Title track is my favorite on the album:

2020 Big 12 Championship Game Computer Projection

Would be hard to imagine in this round robbin top 2. In the old unbalanced schedule big 12 there were some not too great records in that game.

2020 Big 12 Championship Game Computer Projection

I'm sure our Cajuns loss understandably hurts us in a lot of projections. It's too recent for it not to. KSU and ISU sunbelt losses followed by big 12 wins really tanked sagarin and other models where the big 12 has been #1 or #2 for most of the 20+ years I've followed them.

    That “Modern Era” Thing

Yeah it's crazy to think about. I think my freshman year mid 90s may have been the last year college football had ties?
