I think it's because half the people who live in Arizona aren't from Arizona and really don't care about U of A or ASU. I do think ASU has pretty good fans though.
He was a nice guy. I remember drinking with him at People's one night when he first got to Ames. I don't think anyone had a clue he was on the basketball team at that time. You'd see him out with Homan a lot.
If you are into weird Dateline type stuff try "Nobody Saw a Thing". It's about the all the odd murders and deaths in tiny Skidmore, MO starting with the towns people assassinating Ken Rex McElroy on mainstreet in broad daylight back in the 80s.
Did Stalone write it? The storyline reminds me of one of the new movies from the Rocky storyline. Iceman is the Admiral, Maverick comes back to teach Top Gun, and Goose's son is the rogue student.
It's pretty funny seeing a guy whos coached at Florida State and now Texas A&M claim someone else has a bunch of built-in advantages. The comment would have way more credibility if it came from someone like Matt Campbell.
They have way more tradition. That's not to say A&M doesn't have all the resources to do the same type of stuff. A&M has long history of underachieving.
