    Ranking the Future BIG12

I honestly think BYU is set up for most success. Fastest growing state that had a Pac 12 champ, MWC champ and #13 ranked independent in same year. Utah and BYU have both had seasons outside of a power conference where they could make an NC claim.

    Infamous Iowans

I think the hammer killer in Sioux City would have been pretty infamous if it hadn't happened a week before 911. All the national news was in town then just went away instantly. Even people in Sioux City don't remember it because it was understandably all about 911 soon after. Any death is...

Texas NIL $50k per year for every scholarship lineman

it’s muddy and incestuous nobody is going to pay a college offensive lineman $600,000 before any individual payday if he doesn’t have a university brand associated with him. A university brand that is always built by students who do pay tuition and usually supported by tax payers. Yeah Breece...

Texas NIL $50k per year for every scholarship lineman

I agree, it just seems like transfers is more of a potential blow to have-nots. The power schools have scholarship limits, but if freshmen can’t declare for the draft big money programs can now just offer cash to the best freshman they missed. I guess they can also pull money from bad players...

Texas NIL $50k per year for every scholarship lineman

Texas didn’t want Breece. Not enough talent for them. They’d want to buy his services after he proved he was better than any of their 5*s. Maybe it’s transfers and $ combined that doom this. The NFL allowing freshmen to be drafted might help us if Texas can just start buying the freshman they...

Texas NIL $50k per year for every scholarship lineman

Yeah they already got the best recruits. Now they have the same best recruits obsessing about what nice car they can buy instead of football. Some program will figure out how to pay the top recruits and also keep them laser focused but it won’t be this era of Texas football to do it.

when Memphis and Xavier pressed it seemed Hunter and actually Jaz were the best at helping break it. When Hunter wasn’t in it was an ordeal a few times.

They do circle it as their biggest game of the year. Fran hasn’t won much of anything in his decade there so after a rough start head to head vs ISU at least they have these last few vs ISU as opposed to any big ten hardware or ncaa success. Stuff like a player’s entire season consisting of...

Something about Carver is just not as good, exciting and fun as Hilton. I grew up an Iowa fan and it was kind of hard to convert in football right away, but after my first game at Hilton as a freshman I was like "Oh I get it, this is awesome". We weren't even very good that year. Fizer's...

JoBo never has a normal 3-6 type of 3 point shooting night. Either he barely takes a 3, makes 8 3s, or misses 9 3s.

I know he's a big dude but 18 rebounds in a college game really jumps off the page in any game.

I posted Keegan Murray wasn’t playing but I guess just confused by his low minutes and line. Is there any specific news if he’s playing hurt or what? the Tony Perkis System is leading them so far.

They have an unusually compressed stretch of P6 games for this time of year. Very odd to have @ACC, @B1g, B1G, @B12 this early in late Nov/early December without it being part of a tournament. They will be sitting pretty if they make it through 3-1 or 2-2.

as long as Murray’s ankle is fine they willbe a ranked team most of this year, as much as that drives some mad on here

Sagarin is slow to remove last year’s data like Kenpom but we are #10 in its “recent” component. (62 overall including some data from last year still) I actually think Sagarin is a better indicator of resume/results than kenpom which wasn’t intended to be that but is typically used as such.

I read on Iowa boards Murray is playing tonight. Another cool thing is that ISU is only winning because all of our opponents have tons of turnovers but it’s not due to ISU’s D. On the same board Iowa’s nation leading interceptions somehow are Iowa football’s defense and not just gifts.

yeah somehow #1 Purdue would be fawned over for an equal or worse home performance. Honestly that was a great road game for Iowa and a clunker for Purdue given Murray has been 1/3 of their offense. I watched a game where Murray scored their first 17 points all himself.

I’ve stopped pulling against Baylor, I tried on moral grounds but now I realize they just win no matter what. A few times a year I’ll observe them vs ISU and hope for the best but in other games I just assume they are an unstoppable juggernaut I should ignore regardless of scandals and coaching...
