    Perfect example why the coaches polls is flawed: Tennessee gets walloped by 30 points and still gets a first place vote. Frankly, the whole ranking system is just water cooler talk anyway, The only thing that really matters is what seed line the team will get in the tournament

    100% this. But also because the ISU squad is not reliant on one star player, they will be a better overall team. For teams that have the one "star" player, the team is only successful if that player is having a good game. ISU will be much more consistent than teams who feature a single player

    I’ll be curious to see how teams perform in the playoffs in the future. Was this year an outlier where none of the top 4 teams advanced? Look at the basketball tournament. There are always big upsets and teams that make the final 4 that were seeded low. But overall, the better seeded teams...
