It makes a little more sense for some sorting rather than backfilling with FCS schools. The ones that can (or think they can) hack it maximize their revenue, while the rest can be more competitive. This could be a precursor to the rumored Super League, but for G5 rather than B10/SEC/ACC.- exCyDing

The Ferentz family as all about the $$, they've proven it repeatedly. There's no way he willingly walks away with 5 years left, and I'm not sure Iowa has the cash to swing the buyout right now, particularly coming off a 10 win season. -

Something tells me Iowa's more likely to have a HC in waiting on staff rather than rip & replace. Sure, maybe Kirk gets pushed out at the end, but after ~50 years the "bUt CoNtInUiTy Is DoInG iT tHe RiGhT wAy" voices will be loud. -
