I don't think the OP is complaining about the fact that he ate the food. I think the issue is that the type of food provided wasn't what he would expect when buying a VIP pass. I don't think the analogy of eating a full steak and then asking for a refund because it wasn't good is applicable...
I’ve been to a Kansas City chiefs vip a couple of times, I think it’s the kingdom club based on their website. But anyway, the food they had were bbq pork and brisket sliders, specialty salads, gourmet mac and cheese, wings, and some other gourmet stuff. Definitely something where some thought...
They may be one of the teams at top of the football hierarchy for a while. But I don't think the Legacy Big 12 schools are going to allow them to run things like they did Texas and OU. Just because they've had some good football success, they don't have anywhere close to the media pull that...
They'll fire a coach first before they look inward at their own decisions. It's similar to pro sports, it's not the players the GM brought it, it's the coaches fault for not using the players correctly.
I think it's more that our offense was unable to move the ball consistently on our other drives. CW said in the post game via another listener that we only had 2 plays in KSU territory the whole game. The fact we won with that kind of stat is crazy.
I will always take points over time of...
I was curious this morning, so I did some quick match. If you remove our big plays, the 5 plays that went for a TD over 60 yards, our offense only moved the ball 119 yards. We had the ball 13 total times on offense, so remove those 5 plays from the total and that means on our 8 other drives...
I’m guessing Stoops doesn’t have the flash that A&M would want with a coach who has a decade of head coaching history. You pretty much know what you’re going to get with Stoops at this point. And his record doesn’t exactly scream something that’ll beat Texas.
Elko on the other hand is still...
I don’t know their numbers, while they probably have a lot of rich donors, their top donors are probably way richer than our top donors; so you probably still have levels of influence. It’s just that they have a higher top level than we do.
It probably doesn’t help that every decision they make is to spite Texas, or be better than Texas rather than just being a better program. They’re really in competition against Texas as opposed to their other competition in the SEC.
I guess that’s what I’m getting at. Has their way of running their football program finally caught up to them where no big name coach is going to want to go their, unless their an alumni or something.
That still wouldn’t stop NIL payments though. Pro athletes can still go out on their own and sell their likeness or sponsor products outside of their pro contract.
Living in the east coast, people will put clams in their stuffing. That’s fine when you’re making a stuffie app for dinner, but not as a complete side.
Personally, if your going the basketball route, I think adding two east coast, former big east teams would be the way to go. Seton Hall, Georgetown, Villanova, etc. would be my targets.
