Ok. Win/loss record was a tremendous disappointment, but seasons come and go. The most important long term stat for this team is the team gpa and the character development of these young men. These men will keep the lessons learned in the classroom and lessons learned from the coaching staff for the rest of their lives. They will use the Cyclone knowledge to change their world and be a positive influence on the people around them. They will be Cyclones for life. On senior day, you could see the the relationships that they have with the coaching staff. Congratulations to this team for their achievements on and off the field. We are proud to have you in the Cyclone family.

All true.... and a very good post.... however..... fans will not spend their hard earned money to come watch guys with good GPA's and high character lose nearly every week and look unprepared and unorganized in doing so. It's just the facts.

One year filled with very close losses shouldn't be enough for sentient fans to abandon the program.

Michigan fans were grumbling about Harbaugh after 2-4 and 9-4 seasons.

I’m confident we can turn this around, although the “we’re in every game” thing went bye bye yesterday.

If we make no changes on offense, that’s a bad sign. We’ll see.

Without a doubt the last couple of seasons have been disappointing, I tend to think that most ISU fans are not jumping ship because of them, but we are at the edge ready to jump if we do not see improvement from Campbell this off season.
Special teams continue to be a problem, all of them, we need a special teams coach that specializes in that part of the game.

The offense still has no rhythm of what we are trying to do, we do not pull lineman like other teams, go watch TCU and KSU next Saturday and see how they pull their lineman to open up holes, and how their lineman double then scrapes to the 2nd level to get the LBers.

Better QB play, Dekker has been in the system now for 3 years, it's time for him to look like it and stop making poor choices on where the ball is going and get the ball down. Stop the 3-yard crossing patterns and throw the ball down the field to back off the LBers and DB's to open up the run game. Do not be afraid to have the QB run the ball, like we were doing yesterday, and make sure you have the backup ready to play if he is injured.

Send the strength and conditioning staff down to TCU and watch what they are doing, to build up their players, its looked like a totally different team from last year, if they can change that much on one season, no reason ISU cannot do the same.

We were the five time defending National champion of being the best version of ourselves, we didn’t win that this year so I’m disappointed

I love the emphasis Campbell has on character and academics, and that should be the standard. But Matt Campbell is a football coach, and he’s graded on the on-field performance, and I think he’d be the first to tell you that.

Are you serious? Big time college football is all about winning. That is just a fact. If it is not about winning why play the game?

There is too much time and money invested to just look past the failures in the W/L collumns. All that other stuff is good but fans will grow weary if this keeps trending in the wrong direction. Football is the biggest money maker sport for the athletic department so keeping it competitive and trending upwards and not downwards is key to the financial success of the department as a whole.
