Sky is the limit for THT. Hopefully he stays level headed, doesn't develop an ego, and can have a nice long, successful NBA career.

First thing, this should be in the Pro sports section. ;)

LOL. Totally kidding! Makes no difference to me. More people are more likely to see this here anyway.

Wow! Really happy for THT! I haven't been following the NBA much but I would imagine he hasn't been playing all that much during the season? This after a great pre-season that he had. I suppose Labron being out, he is playing more. Is that pretty accurate? Making the most of it at the end in this game! Way to go!

He was playing about 10-15 minutes a game when they were at full strength, more like 20-30 minutes now that they've had injuries. He had his own brief injury a week or so ago. He's only started a few but not rare for him to get more minutes than some starters at this point.

He was possibly LA's best player in the shortened preseason (LeBron and AD played limited minutes).

lol, nothing against THT or Tyrese but there is 0 chance either will be an MVP candidate

Probably. Either one has a decent chance at being an All Star though.

Tyrese would have been in discussion for rookie of the year if not for the recent injury and any rookie of the year definitely has a shot at being an all star. Because of Ball and Tyrese injuries I think Edwards is probably a lock now. He might have edged them out even if Ball/Tyrese had stayed healthy, he's been improving.

"Yes, Horton-Tucker had seven turnovers in this game. He's an over-dribbler who, at times, displays a dangerous degree of tunnel vision. He's a 26 percent 3-point shooter. These are all valid criticisms. "

Weaknesses still the same, hope can get that 3pt % up. All Star if he can shoot it at higher clip

The Lakers are one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league. Kuzma is constantly jacking them up and he isn’t very good at it. Not sure what a 6’10 guy who can drive is doing standing around the 3 pt line. At least Talen knows his strengths and takes it to the basket. I hope he can get his 3% up too.

Potential all stars? I could see it. MVP is a whole different level of player. They are great, don’t get me wrong, but they aren’t winning an mvp.

You're probably right that is on the ragged edge of the possible.

I just think anybody making an all-NBA team is at some level and MVP candidate.

Not a favorite, mind you, but it could at least happen in a conceivable universe.

If I’m not mistaken, last year’s starting 5 could have been:

Halliburton
Wigginton
THT
Young
Lard

Crazy how fast things change. I would have bet the farm that Wigginton and Lard were the only two NBA prospects on the team from 2 years ago.

Valid criticisms, but for context yesterday he had to play emergency PG with Lebron, Caruso, and Schroeder all hurt. He was clearly out of position and stumbled into some turnovers. For him to keep it together and hit the game winner was a good look for him long term. Probably earned some post season minutes.
