Based on what?
I'll provide some actual information why I think Heacock is one of the best.
1. Heacock just turned down Notre Dame for a DC job.
2. He had the best DC in the country (Venables) come to Ames and learn from him.
3. Matt Rhule also said he thought Heacock was the best DC in the country

Parker hasn’t had a defense below 20th in CFB in the last 6 years, Iowa football leads the country in interceptions since 2017, over his career as DC Iowa defenses have averaged 19.6 PPG, and Iowa hasn’t given up more than 28 points in a game since 2018.
There sure are some really bad offenses in the West. NW can win the West with multiple games to play and be completely clueless on one side of the ball.

I think people can’t truly appreciate how bad QB play was in the Big 10 last year. They had one good QB and another pretty good QB who got hurt midseason. A guy who got benched on the 8th place Big 12 team last year is going to start for one of the 4 best teams in the Big 10 this year.
I get that you like Heacock. I’m still taking Phil over him.

I actually did I’d take Campbell over Kirk this season.
So you think Campbell is a better coach than Kirk but Fran is a better coach than TJ?
Just because he can bring in talent it doesn’t mean he can coach lol
Fran can't recruit or coach
