It’s the dumbest foul in basketball. They call it in the NBA all the time and it ruins the game. Even the announcers agreed there was really nothing there.
If you have your forearm on someone when they rise up for a shot, it’s a foul. Yeah it’s really common in the NBA, don’t see it all that often in college. Regardless of how you feel about it, it’s a foul.

JFC. It’s always the refs discretion on how much they’ll let anyone get away with. Putting your arm on someone and then they flail is not a foul. If you wanted to call that call, they should’ve called a foul every single time someone touches someone while shooting.

Absolutely a foul bohannon is airborn taking a shot and trice puts his hand on his hip mid shot. Foul everytime. Refs got that one right
That foul call is why people say the NBA is dumb in how it’s officiated. Guys do that all day long, it’s called and it ruins games. It doesn’t matter bc they called what they called. But to say that the refs should make that call is ridiculous. There are far more plays with contact 10x that aren’t called.

Pretty much every time someone is touching someone mid shot 25 ft out it is a foul. There is no discretion out there maybe in the paint. You can't touch a jump shooter that far out.

You are typically better than this. Don't push a guy 25 ft. away from the basket when he is shooting if you don't want to get called for a foul. Stupid play by Trice, he knows better than that.

There is 100% discretion lol you can’t body up a jump shooter, no, but to say that there should be a foul called if I touch you while you shoot is unbelievably stupid, especially when it’s a hand on your side.

When someone has their forearm on you and you go up to shoot it doesn’t take a lot of force to knock you off balance. Obviously Bohannon sold the call but that’s a foul 10/10 times.

It is a cardinal sin really. You can't push a shooter like that 20-25' from the basket when he is shooting. That is going to get called 10 out of 10 times. Do it underneath the basket all day long, but that far out it is always a foul even in the Big10 and it's horrible refs.

If you're saying that there's discretion on how much you touch an airborn shooter 25 ft out i disagree. I think it's pretty simple

How are Iowa fans defending this? Sometimes you get robbed in CBB sometimes you get gifted. Take the gift and be happy

So, since this was just a smidge outside of 22’, it’s not a foul then. I can agree with you.

Okay so here is where our opinions disagree. You think Trice shoved Bohannon and I think trice had his hand on his hip and JBo made a terrific sell job and got rewarded. It happens all the time. What actually matters is that there was a foul call nonetheless.

The Davidson foul was also ridiculous. If you can definitively say Brad can jump up and hook and hold someone’s arm while in the air and trying to catch a pass, you’re moronic. If you also think that it’s fine and dandy for JBo to get the ball and flail his elbows like a 3rd grader and make contact with the Wisconsin guy’s head, you are also moronic.

I agree the refs tried to gift Wisconsin the win, but at least the monitor replay caught Davison's dirty play and they were forced to make the correct call.
Wisconsin didn’t get a single call down the stretch what are you talking about? Lol

That was a horrible call on Keegan there, he should have never gotten a common for for getting hooked and held. Davison is a dirty player, with many documented cheap plays. He hooked Keegan on that play, thank God he didn't fall to the ground because if he does he breaks Keegans arm. That is why the hook and hold is a flagrant foul, there is no place in the game for that stuff.
