Glad she found a summer league since the Olympics she would have been playing in got postponed. She was mentioned in some recent local coverage here for the Minnesota Lynx who she finished the 2019 season with. The whole WNBA summer season is in question of course.

Wonder if she maybe has an out with the French contract if the Lynx want her on their roster? Might not even be worth it if the WNBA has a abbreviated season and cuts their crappy pay even more for the rank and file players.

Lynx start practice today in Florida in preparation for the abbreviated WNBA mini-season. Bridget is on the roster but haven't seen any mention of her or seen any twitter stuff.

Why do typical contracts amount to in Europe?
https://careertrend.com/the-average-salary-of-a-womens-professional-basketball-player-13657126.html

According to ESPN affiliate website Ballin Europe, a player with no WNBA experience can earn between $6,000 and $7,000 a month while playing in the top leagues in countries like Spain and Italy. A player with WNBA experience can earn an average of $13,000 a month while playing in the same tier league. Elite players, like Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi, earned annual salaries in the hundreds of thousands of dollars while playing aboard.

You can see her in one of the pictures in this Lynx tweet from a couple hours ago.

Good to see that one frame here highlights just as important of a piece in their dynasty as any player. Cheryl Reeve is a great coach who just happens to be a great person.

$13k a month to hoop doesn’t sound all that bad.

It's for a couple of months, not 12 months and that $13k is on the high side. It's an okay gig if you LOVE basketball and like living overseas. Perfect for Carleton who wants to play for Canada in the Olympics, keeps her hoops active but it's no real money maker. The real money was when the Russian oligarchs were bidding for players in a big ego fest. Some gals like Sue Bird and others made some good money out of that before that bubble burst.

Haven't looked to see what the pay will be in the WNBA with it's abbreviated 22 game mini-season.

Not a surprise, but confirmation that Bridget is on the final Lynx roster. Hawks Doyle and Gustafson are also on WNBA rosters.

Lots of Lynx games on national TV, all of them if you get the regional Fox North. From Star Tribune.

The team announced its 2020 broadcast schedule Monday. Here’s how it breaks down:

• Eight games will be televised nationally, on ESPN, ESPN2 or CBS Sports network, including Sunday’s season opener vs. Connecticut.
• Nineteen games, including some of the nationally televised games, will be available on either Fox Sports North or Fox Sports North Plus.

Are they going to play in a bubble over there? Europe has been seeing an uptick in COVID.

Doubt that, there are a bunch of small leagues, no single one pro league like WNBA here.

Also looks like they might be having troubles with test/results etc since this is on their web site:
"The match initially scheduled for October 24 against Charnay is postponed. We will communicate as soon as a new date is known. SAVE YOUR TICKETS, they remain valid!"
