I pretty much assume when the "low fuel" message comes on that I ought to get to the gas station shortly. Probably helps that I ran out of gas about 30 times when I was a teenager, so I've learned my lesson (hard).
Im working on my garage right now to be able to fit a full size pickup. It would be awesome if my next vehicle could get me from CBUS to DSM without having to stop for gas (646 miles).
If you go with a Ford, get the EcoBoost engine. Also I burn regular unleaded (no ethanol, unless unavoidable) and get 4 or 5 MPG more.
Just filled up and says 624 miles but I have been doing only mostly in town driving last 3 months so it is calculating that on 17 mpg.Damn what’s the range on that ***** on the highway?
That is probably what they could afford that day.You get to ~1/4 tank and fill it up. This isn't hard people. There is no reason to find out just how far it will go unless you are living on the edge. It costs way more in time and money to stop every other freaking day. Can't believe how many times I see $5 on a pump when I pull in.

That gas station has been gone for at least 10 years, maybe 15Almost ran out at 72nd and Dodge in Omaha one time, car died but restarted and got me to the gas station on the corner. Long time ago.
A friend of mine ran out of gas out in the country. Farmer brought him a gas can and the advice "it's just as easy to keep the top half full as the bottom half"Tell my kids that, I have and they still run them to nearly bone dry.
