We have several planter boxes up front on our porch. We have tried everything to keep them from digging up the plants and eating the roots. Finally got some traps that kill and have killed 13 so far. Still some are digging into planters that have moth balls and cumin in them. Anything else that can be tried?

We had to go the trapping route. My wife has tried the copious amounts of chili powder, but I'm skeptical of its efficacy.

I would love to know of a "no kill" and no removal method as well. I wish there was something that repelled them completely but did not effect our planters filled with tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, etc. The little buggers have permanently damaged two plants.

Tell you neighbors to let their cats roam free in the neighborhood. My neighborhood cats, when they are not shitting all over the place, kill those things frequently.

Coincidentally, I just shot one yesterday. I’m up to about 15 over the last couple years. If you are in town I wouldn’t recommend the .223 I use but BB guns work too.

Send a couple of them to Florida for 4th of July celebration. They will come home with the RONA and infect the rest. Problem solved.
