With the uncertainty surrounding football this year due to Covid does Iowa even have the $ to fire KF? If I recall his buyout is massive and ironclad.

Sounds like Kirk identified this as a problem and has been working to fix it. Some of the comments/actions that have been attributed to Doyle make it clear that he needs to go. There should be zero tolerance for statements like that in any setting.

This is not a new issue for them. He is no longer with us, but see how often Denny Green went back to Iowa City after he married a white woman and them in '73ish?? Running all the way up to today, look how their fan base has treated our basketball program for the last 15 years. Outwardly calling them thugs and "we do it the right way." We all know what means.

Your made up source is saying Doyle is done (which the vast majority of the Iowa fanbase agrees needs to happen), and that he doesn’t know what will happen to KF. Real insightful stuff there.
You realize that you cant even admit your posting history here, right?

You literally just had a player transfer out within the last month because of it. Cmon man

So Capt. Kirk had a team meeting three years ago and now his overpaid buddy will finally have to take the spear? Glad Kirk was all over correcting the problem.

That's literally what I was told. Sorry

It was really un-Kurt like to rush out all these "culture" statements.

He knew this avalanche was rolling down the mountain.

And just had a player transfer out within the last month because of racism. Must have worked well

That's got to be a worry, and something Hawk fans need to realize. Regardless of if these allegations can be proven, the very fact that they exist is going to be used against the program. Every single school going up against Iowa for a recruit is going to bring this up. That's going to happen if Doyle is let go or not. As long as Kirk is there, this is going to be used against them.

Even in the best case scenario this is going to hurt the program. At minimum you have to fire Doyle; dbag or not he's a big reason for their developmental success. Plus the negative recruiting that will ensue like you mentioned.

If they clean house they have to find a new coach, which could potentially mean having to venture out of the Fry/Ferentz tree that's been their identity the past 40 years. Anytime you bring in a new coach there's a risk they won't succeed; in this current climate the pool of candidates has to be fairly low.
