The daughter of the doctor my mom works for is marrying a cardiologist whose parents are both big time doctors as well. The ring cost 40 large.

I don't understand how you could walk around with something like that on your finger and not constantly worry about losing it somehow. That is just a waste of money in my humble opinion.

Most of the people listed in the second and third items on this page are employees with the Iowa State Center. You know, the ones who work with shows, banquets/dining, development, etc. Seems to me to be a clear picture of what's (not) important in the new world of athletics being in charge of the center. https://www.inside.iastate.edu/bulletin/receptions-and-open-houses#a6791

I always kind of wondered when something like that would happen. I think it's doing Iowa State (the University) a disservice. Kind of reminds me of some of the posters who would gladly flatten and pave everything within a 1 mile radius of JTS to get more parking and tailgating "atmosphere".

I could get two really decent cars at that price...taxes, registration, the whole bit.

Agreed but the guy she's marrying makes close to 7 figures so a replacement would be no trouble.

I ordered a pair of trail shoes. Originally said they would be delivered on the 3rd. Then then the 8th. Now it says the 9th.
Today the tracking number says the 4th. It's on it's way to KC via UPS
Tracking number still tells me the end of the day on June 4th. What does UPS consider "end of day"

There were some bigger limbs down around town this morning. Must have been after we went to bed....we had a brief hard rain right about 5:15, but it didn't last long. Streets were still wet this morning.
