WDE Jayden Gray (Haslet, TX)

North Texas commit, offers from NW, VT, Army, Air Force, Yale

I was wondering why were would be offering a kid so undersized, compared to the guys we’ve been offering lately,

Then I saw his video. That answered that question.

This kid is really athletic. Maybe high P5 linebacker athletic—as a DE. I don’t want to equate him to Will McDonald’s freak athleticism, but somewhere not terribly far from that general neighborhood.

I am with you here. Great size
/speed combo for a CB. Would immediately just into the top few guys I am most excited for if we could secure his commitment.
He's on the shorter size of what we go after now. He's 5'9" and we tried to go after 6 footers. He has some serious, NFL caliber speed as a highschooler. I could see him being a return man with Silas in the future.

Oh yeah that is my bad. I saw his profile says 5’11 but didn’t look down further to where is says he actually measured at 5’8.5

I know that Iowa/Idaho/Ohio is a common misperception, but...???

‘22 Blake Miller is “Warmer” to tOSU. I didn’t see us on his Warm list.

@NATEizKING Who do you think we have a good chance of landing? I think we have about 8-9 spots left
I really doubt that we have 8-9 spots left, unless CMC does some McCarney/Rhoads style housecleaning. I’d guess the list would be 2 DE and two OT if possible, and whatever many the remainder slots going to “Best Athlete Interested”. Another tight end and running back probably being high on that list.

Those are just all changes from last time I went through profiles for all schools. He is newly "Warmer" to tOSU.
