NASCAR has had a stroke of genius by partnering with iRacing and broadcasting all of its drivers at home racing against each other virtually on everything ranging from full blown simulators to your average joe's home racing wheel clamped to the computer desk. The commentators can talk to the drivers via webcam as the race is happening. They've broadcast on FS1, but it looks like it is on the FOX mothership tomorrow. It is rather entertaining, especially with the lack of new content we're experiencing.
It is interesting a sport that has been in decline for a long time may perhaps get a boost back to relevance by being quick on the ball during this crisis. Indycar has done the same thing with iRacing the last couple weeks; it was broadcast on NBCSN for the first time today but wasn't quite as entertaining without the crazy NASCAR characters.
