I think one payment of $3400 in that scenario in roughly 3 weeks and then another identical payment 3 weeks after if we're still in an emergency.

Oh. Well, I guess I'll be looking through some new car sites while I'm locked away.

Making non-essential purchases stimulates the economy.

Not exactly sure.
Most recent proposal is 75K individual, 150K for a couple.
$1200 per person
$500 for each dependent.

Family of four would get $3400 under the current proposal.

Well, that sucks. I am a couple grand over that and a third of it was capital gains from the money I kept putting aside for the kids' college. (Did outside investments since I am self-employed and I couldn't put exact amounts away all the time and I started at the oldest birth) So my income looked way higher than normal last year. There went 4k, thanks college aid planners.

So in summary, the people who pay the majority of taxes in this country are left out. I guess I'm in that 1%....oh wait, I'm middle class.
It’s the GOP senate version, doubt it’s the final bill.

Whatever we receive we'll either invest it or put towards the mortgage balance. We don't spend frivolously as it is and most reasonable people know that once this pandemic is over the markets will rebound so now is as good as any time to start looking longer term financially and take advantage of buying into funds at low prices or refinancing your mortgage with lower rates.

There probably are lots of people out there that this is impacting their ability to pay bills right now so that relief will be immediate relief for them but for those fortunate enough not to have cashflow problems right now there is lot of opportunity to grow that money long term than to splurge on a purchase you dont really need.

Doesn't really matter for me. That's being married to a doctor for you.

I would imagine it would be based on individuals, though.

Depends on if you file taxes jointly. Lawyer and pharmacist in our household so nothing coming which I’m fine with. Unemployment already on the rise in our SE Minnesota city. It will be interesting how it plays out because $100K in Sioux City is a lot different than $100K in Minneapolis, Chicago or New York City.

Denver public courses shut down so the city could focus resources. It’s not a big issue, but I did buy a pass this year :(.
Isnt Denver in a blizzard warning right now? I cant find that stupid white ball in green grass, trying to find it in snow would be a *****.
