I agree on Nightswimming. BTW, you beat me to Mr. November.

Janny and I were talking yesterday about what albums we have listened to, start to finish, more than any other. (This is not so much of a thing anymore for most people, with streaming - rarely do people listen to a whole album.) Automatic is by far my #1 most-listened-to album.

that is a great question. I still love the "album", but agree it is a thing of the past which is sad. Mine are likely REM- Life's Rich Pageant or Dire Straits - Love over Gold. I vividly remember a conversation with a classmate a long time ago when he said someone should figure out a way to just sell songs. I said no-thank you as the album was designed to be consumed as group of songs.

Two amazing choices, as well. I adore REM so very much, and Dire Straits' talent as a whole is just amazing.

We started the convo by discussing how "is this a Side 1 or Side 2 track" was a holdover form albums/cassettes, and then song order still mattered with CDs... but now none of it does. I still listen to albums!

In May of nineteen forty-one the war had just begun.

Johnny Horton, Sink the Bismarck. Not worthy of a video link. ;)
