Not sure I'd trust these guys. They don't exactly sound like they know what they are doing.

It's a Tires Plus, recommended from someone else.

I priced it at another local shop and they gave me the same estimate/quote.

Vehicle's a Forester and the issues are reportedly common.

I hate cars.

I went running twice over the weekend, that's my contribution to healthierness.

Also, hi. Been a bit absent the past week. Been a sort of rough few days.

Peevish vent, someone who is never very helpful and typically does the minimum to answer questions/provide help (and this person's role is......support), did so in the past 24 hours then came to me today asking for help on something. My give a **** is real low right now so I definitely bounced them elsewhere. I probably could have gone out of my way to ask questions and get stuff for them but decided you get what you give today.
I would of done the same thing. People like that can screw off. Yeah I spend a good chunk of some days jacking around on CF but I get my sh*t done and when people ask I help them.

There are so many people that do not want to step 1 inch outside of what they consider their responsibilities yet always want me to help them figure stuff out that has nothing to do with me. Then when you ask them for some help they just stonewall you.

One thing I always did in my position was to cultivate relationships with everyone from the custodians & building engineer up to the senior faculty and department chair. By helping them when I could, I found they were much more willing to help me when I needed it. Life is easier if you're simply nice to people.
Then last boss was hired, and all those carefully cultivated relationships went straight out the window in terms of assistance for our unit. Fun part was, they would bypass the boss and come straight to me to see if we perform the tasks they needed, or if their work could be expedited in any way, etc. I would do what I could for them, and/or encourage the boss to reach out & negotiate, but it REALLY pissed the boss off that they would approach me first...and I would hear about it later. Really hard to not just tell the boss "you reap what you sow, you ####".

Finally pretty much told the boss that when I walked out for the last time...but I didn't cuss. I'm very proud of myself for that restraint!

One of the best lessons I learned was to use the word "No" at work.

Mission creep is real and you can easily be taken advantage of with little compensation

Another early lesson was never to bang the support staff and then use your power to try and cover it up.

It can be extremely difficult to avoid sinking to someone else's level when they are busy being d**ks. Kudos to you for achieving that.

As I have gotten older, I have made a real attempt to stay above the crap - I was told by someone I greatly admire that having your integrity at the end of the day is the best thing you can have.

"Fired" 2 managers today. First one didnt even get fazed, wondering if she even understood what was going on. Second one spent a few minutes throwing me and the gf under the bus about stuff we supposedly did. I will be honest, obviously didnt manage her the best, but I draw the line at throwing my gf under the bus when her sole job is to help.

No, different sites. Due to the changes, we are going to have an opening their. Know anyone in the area that would be interested?

Probably best thing for mowing would be to get ahold of someone in the office and let them know. Not sure if they have started taking bids yet.

I have never clicked on that "Help, I'm fat!" thread". Wonder what it is about.
I have never seen a SAW movie either.

I have seen one Saw movie--maybe the 3rd one? It was with a pretty terrible ex girlfriend and I remember thinking it was weird that she wanted to see it...makes sense now.

HIF thread is actually some good supportive discussion around wellness.
