This will be fun to use when Captain Trips breaks out!

I've got to think that North Korea will/is being devastated by the Corona virus. Either it infects a lot of the population because of little to no containment or they execute parts of the population to "control".

Kind of like pulling everyone's teeth to stem the zombie apocalypse?

Perfect timing! I left home in west Omaha early Monday and I just got settled in for the next 7 weeks in Mississippi. Just got set up at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in Boloxi. Sweating bullets! 76 degrees. Anyway, maybe I will be the lone Omaha survivor once the virus spreads across town. Farewell to all my Husker friends! And you Creighton fans. Omaha will soon be a Cyclone CIty!

Anyone else find it odd that an infectious disease center is located in a largish population area with coast to coast interstate traffic. Seems odd not to find somewhere more remote to quarantine people known to be infected. Also odd to fly people confirmed to have the virus half way across the world. I know UNMC is equipped but they only have 20 rooms in the isolation area.

Plum Island is supposed to be one of the highest security infectious animal disease centers in the US, operated by the USDA. Located just off the coast of Long Island, less than 90 miles from the heart of New York City, and located on one of the highest trafficked waterfowl migration routes in the nation.

One of the other high security USDA facilities is located in Ames Iowa, 500 feet from I-35 and directly across from my office. I guess we have to hope the operators of those facilities know what they're doing?

Is Plum Island still open? I thought they were building that new one down in Kansas (Manhatten?) to replace it.

Do a lot of those remote locations have the doctors, nurses, and staff trained for these high level risks and the large facilities with negative pressure rooms to keep the patients in?

People posting on Ames FB about places being out of masks already. Probably should have bought some stock in 3M.

the facility in Ames has been there and in operation for well over 50 years, is very heavily regulated by the CDC, NIH, and other organizations. I don’t think you have much to worry about there.
