I only saw parts of 3 and 4 but I thought 4 looked like the proper send off with just outrageously unrealistic stunts and action scenes that made it look like everyone knew it.

After watching LW3 in the theater - I enjoyed it, but was also simultaneously annoyed by one of its features. So, when it came out on video, I put that "annoying feature" to the test. I counted the number of times Danny Glover's character said "Riggs." The total? 77 times.

Behind you
LW 1 & 2 were great. The ones that came after kind of sucked in my opinion, which I'd bet will be the case with this one.

And once again Hollywood makes a sequel that no one asked for and no one wants. How many sequels 20+ years after the last one have been successful?

The only thing that matters is recency and with the current success of Bad Boys 3 I think it's fair to assume you'll see a lot more of these series get dug back up.

We're supposed to believe two fifty-somethings (they were actually older than that when the movie was made) could go 15 rounds? Yeah, right.

A little Lethal Weapon trivia:

This is a pic of Riggs' wife - he's looking at it at the beginning of the first movie and thinking about eating his gun. The girl in the picture is actually from Iowa - her name is Kathy Swanson, she grew up near Fort Dodge and attended Prairie of Gowrie high school. My buddy dated her, I dated her sister Diane.

Later Kathy shacked up with Andrew Dice Clay - when he got famous, they split, and she claimed they had an agreement to split everything. She eventually hired a .90 caliber Hollywood divorce lawyer and sued him, she even appeared on Geraldo Rivera's show. After that the "pre-nup" mania began.

That is almost as good of a role as Kevin Costner's in The Big Chill.

I can only think of one.

It makes up for all of the other ones, though -- and it was a full 30 years later.

Finding Dory was okay, too, and that was 13 years later.

Blade Runner 2049 was pretty good, and that was 35 years later.

I thought about that one, but is that really a sequel or a reboot? I guess the same villain is in it....
