SDSU seems like a sneaky team. They knocked off UNI. Big match for Chase. Would have been a good one for Degen tonight.

Did Vega attend or commit to ISU? That name seems very familiar.

Yes He did for 2 years or maybe 2 1/2. I think he was either ineligible or got dismissed during Dresser's 1st year.

Very talented wrestler. I think he major decision Kyle Larson at Nichols Open his freshman year (2017)

I think Vega left at the beginning of their first season which is how they got Jakob Allison , if I remember correctly he went home and didn’t wrestle for a year maybe two then ended up at SDSU . He is extremely quick and may give Alex a challenge.

Anybody think Degen might have a little rust? Been out of a while. Leisure I feel did a decent job of filling in for him in the lineup.

Yeah the beginning of his redshirt freshman season. Then Marmolejo left and we brought in Allison

Probably, but isn't going to wrestle this week. Maybe OK State, but most likely the 1st of Feb is what Dresser said
Damn I will be at the okie st dual. I am really hoping we can finally knock those guys off but will need all hands on deck

Couple of comments:
1) Vega was a very undersized 125 when he was here. Didn't wrestle the last 2 years. Had a solid win over Schwarm from UNI last week.
2) Pohlmeyer @149 seems to have stepped it up a notch this year. Would be interesting to see him and Degan. I fear Ryan will have his hands full
3) As others said 165 and 184 are solid tests for our guys and they really need to pick up these wins for postseason seeding purposes.
4) 197 might be the most lopsided 20 vs 21 matchup I've ever seen. Prove me wrong Joel!

Not exactly sure.
Was curious if Sloan and Shapiro had met. Couldn’t find one in HS. Did see Joel had throttled Nelson Brands when both were freshmen. I know 8th grade they were a couple weight classes different and didn’t go back any further. Probably were AAU teammates at times I’m pretty sure.
