I’d say at least 10 to 11 league wins total with one or two against Baylor, Kansas (unlikely to win there I know), WV, or Tech as those appear to be the top teams, beat Auburn, and win one in KC.

That would get us to 19-20 wins with a couple marquee/tier 1 wins. But I still feel like our resume would be bad with the bad losses. I think we’d be on the bubble then for sure

I think the fate was sewn after the Florida A&M and TCU games. 10-5 (2-1) looks WAY different than 8-7 (1-2). I think we have to go 11-7 in conference play with 2 wins in KC and that ain’t happening

11-7 in conference means going 2-5 against KU, BU, WVU, and TTU while going undefeated against everyone else. I think the Big12 is getting more than those 4 teams in, so I'd have to imagine we'd be in with that record and maybe 10-8 depending on where that extra loss comes from.

At this point, I think this season will be a success if Prohm learns how to be more flexible in how his style can compliment a given roster. He can recruit well. He is capable of making decent decisions. He just needs to anticipate better I think so the team can focus on gelling in October & November rather than January & February.

Unfortunately, they’ve dug themselves a hole that is almost impossible to get out of.

In a 10-team BigXII, has a 10-8 team ever not made the tournament? I know it’s been a frustrating few months, but by my math, this team has exactly one bad loss, and it won’t be possible to get more.

Is what happened against OU sustainable? Probably not, but saying ISU would be left out at 10-8 seems a bit much.

ESPN's front page has an article today saying Baylor should be ranked #1, so I'll start there and say a win this week would definitely trend in our favor. We beat them, and suddenly all of our close losses also look a little better?? I would hope that we could turn out to be a Syracuse the past few years. They have averaged 14 losses the last 5 years, and made the tourney 3 of those 5 years (one year they were banned, the other they made the NIT). We have to get to 18+ wins IMO to at least get in the conversation, but we have to beat some ranked teams along the way.
