How is Bill Self still coaching? Haven't his years been completely tarnished now? Cripes. I hate chalk, I hate blue cartoon birds, I hate wheat and I hate stupid-looking toupees!

Go Cyclones! Beat these arrogant weasel butts and their whole corrupt system!

If you can't get a little fired up for KU coming to Hilton, you need your fandom checked. Play well early to keep the crowd in and attack the rim like we did in the 2nd half against TCU, hopefully get some foul trouble on them.
I'm watching just because we only get so many more games with Tyrese. He was amazing last game, and I couldn't watch:(

I would never bet against my team...ever...but man. 4.5 is easy money man...

You'd think so. Really the only way you end up unhappy is if they cover but don't win outright. Then I'd be pissed they couldn't close the deal but they were just competitive enough to stay within reach.

No doubt. The apathy of this fanbase is unreal. Seems like the majority aren't willing to put in the effort to pick the team up unless things are rolling. Hilton wasn't a tough place to play because the fans would get loud during a run, it was tough because the fans knew when to put their foot in the ground and push the team to the next run.

Except when your own coach calls time out in during your run. I've seen that before.

I’m hoping for 30+ minutes of “good” Conditt and a lot of small-ball minutes.

Shoot well and clean up the ball-screen defense, and we’ll be in this.

Is it a question of being better on ball screen defense or just simplifying it for the players so they have a chance to execute? I haven't been able to watch a lot of the season so far but what I have seen it looks like they're trying to do multiple coverages depending on the ballhandler and the defenders involved, and guys just aren't reacting quickly enough or they're blowing their assignment.

I'll still follow the game, but I remember 4-5 years ago this game had me nervous all day. Butterflies all day, counting down the hours.

Today, I planned something with the wife for tonight and then thought "oh ****, we play Kansas tonight don't we."

Between our recent struggles and the ESPN+ it just doesn't have the juice it used to.

One and the same. Improving execution is being better,

One would hope a Big 12 staff could assess their players well enough to know if the lack of execution is due to being too complicated. It’s been an issue for several years, and the hope it would get better with different players is waning.

I'm with everyone else that I think it would be good for Conditt to be in the starting line up. But throwing him out there for his first start against Kansas, and Doke, would be a tall ask. If we do start him I could just as easily see him getting 2 quick fouls and sitting the rest of the half as I could a great start.

If he isn't in the lineup, I still expect over 30 minutes from him like we saw at TCU

KU is only a 4.5 point favorite tonight? Am I reading that right?
Got KU at -5 at my local sports book. Wanted to jump in my car and head straight to the casino when I heard it had reached 4.5, but had to wait til my lunch hour, and even then, not sure that sportsbook ever had it at 4.5

Unless it is a psyche thing like we all know it was with Lindell (and I don't think George is that kind of player FWIW) then Conditt does not need to start in this situation. As many on here and in the media, CW included, have pointed out, George did not start, but still played more minutes then Jacobson and Solo against TCU. If he ends up playing more minutes than our "starters" who cares?
I actually think a lineup of
Solo
Conditt
Haliburton
Nixon
Bolton

could be pretty effective tonight.

Jackson as your 6th man. Jacobson to spell the 4 and 5, but should not be in the game the same minutes as Solo. Throw Grill in there for some "FU minutes". He's a Kansas kid who wasn't recruited by Kansas, he's gonna have some extra juice for this game. T-Lew and Zion can get some spots minutes as/if needed.

Yeah, I should have included that. The reason I said that is because I like what he brings off the bench and if we can have him over 30 minutes a game, it shouldn't matter when it is (as long as he's in there in the end). George is just such an emotional player, that I could see him getting TOO jacked up pre-game and that leads to him flying around OC. Either way, he is a big factor in this game if we want to have a chance.
