Anyone spinning this as a bad thing needs to get their head examined. If a position coach is doing a good job, they aren't going to stay for very long.

Is there any genetics work going on at ISU? If so, Campbell should call them and have them clone the Lincoln Riley of about 5-10 years ago...an offensive coordinator who can mentor quarterbacks.

Not exactly sure.
Can probably scrape some from about 30 places in the athletics building. The "spa". Backroom at Denny's. His car seat.

I started to mention some but figured they would probably have been scrubbed clean. Denny’s though would probably still be the same and be a good source, but may be mixed with some other goofballs.

I don't think he is either. It was just the first thing that came to mind when I heard this news.

And selfishly I want Kolar to declare for the NFL Draft. My Bears desperatede need a tight end.

that’s not selfish, it’s stupid.

Yes, but Campbell and Golesh seem like a really good combination. Unlike lots of coaching teams that are pieced together, these guys really do seem to form a unit. However, given our year with 3 fine tight ends, Golesh's stock has to be pretty high right now. Gotta figure the deal was done before the CWB!

We need to find the part of his podcast with C-Dubs where he talks about his job.

Way up there
Golesh is a big loss but this staff will find a young, energetic guy to fill his spot. Seems like the perfect promotion for Nate, he's proven himself on the recruiting trail.

Why the hell would he sit out a year when he has a chance to go pro next year. That would be really stupid.
I was saying I'd wonder if he would reconsider going pro, not that he'd transfer.

Mouser is probably the only internal candidate they'd consider if they don't go external

I know they hired the guy from WV to coach safeties last year and moved Heacock to solely DC from DC/safeties. I am not advocating firing someone but I'd like to see Heacock back as DC/safeties. It seemed our defense was better with him coaching the safeties and it would open a position up for a dedicated special teams coach.
