Was there a T or anything to the player that struck the official? Just curious how they handle an obvious accident like that.

Hilarious but not as good as Carlos Boozer's...

It was a complete accident. No T. Refs should be aware of where they are, especially when a 7' 290# dude just made a huge shot.

Nothing, which is the right call. Obviously there are rules about striking an official, but this was clearly not intentional. The funny thing is if it was an opposing player that he did this too, its a flag 2 and hes ejected.

I watched the second half of this game and was pretty amazed at the talent Illinois has. The player that hit the ref is huge and raw but very talented. Their coach is the coach of SFA several years ago.

Umm, yeah. He was at Okie St for a hot minute too. Not really sure why he left there so quickly.

I’m honestly surprised this doesn’t happen more, not necessarily to a ref but other players.

He needed to get distance from Lamont Evans the NCAA as soon as possible. It worked, he came out squeaky clean while Lamont went to prison.

I just missed seeing it live, only saw replay until visiting this thread. It looked rough even in slow-mo.

Related/unrelated: illinois dang near let that game slip away.

It's crazy they should have wins over two top 10 teams in the last week, the loss at Maryland was one of the biggest choke jobs I've ever seen.
