Degan gutted out an 8-4 win. He was controlling the match and then hurt his shoulder on a drag by. Wasn't sure he was going to continue and when he did he was favoring it noticeably. Gave up 2 takedowns and looked like he was going to lose it but came back with a couple TD's of his own in the 3rd.

Watched the Degen match, surprised he finished. Looked like he had a shoulder dislocation. He was in a lot of pain initially, reason why the match was close.

Straw lost 3-0 to the #3 seed. Appeared to be some controversy and a review at the end of the 2nd, but I missed it as I had flipped over to the Colman match. Anyone else see what was going on?

Damn it. With Gomez out, the last thing we need is Degen out for an extended amount of time also.

I think time ran out, so NDSU takedown was waved off

It looked like there was 4 seconds left on the clock when the takedown was awarded. then for whatever reason they thought time had expired. Straw was deep on a couple shots just couldn't finish. He looked pretty good the first 2 periods.
