College football awards are a joke (in the way they are chosen). Always have been.
I wrote off these awards when Lanning wasn't given the Paul Hornung award. He should have been given the Most Versatile Player of the Decade award!
It looks like Brevin Jordan got in simply because his average yards/rec is the 3rd best. That's not necessarily what I care about in TE. But what do I know.
Playing devil's advocate, catching the ball is only half the job of most tight ends. Brevin might be a great blocker. I don't remember people b****ing when Chase Allen was names to the all Big 12 team his freshman year, primarily due to his blocking.
Charlie is a great TE for the things ISU does. I have not seen these other guys, so I'm not going to freak out about an award that I don't know the criteria for. Being a sophomore probably doesn't help him.

At first, I thought it might be a Senior bias, but Jordan is only a sophomore. What a load of crap.
Jordan had a whopping 4 TD his freshman year, so Kolar has more TD this year than Jordan's career to date.

Brevin Jordan was the highest rated tight end in his class according to 247. Probably has a lot to do with it...which is stupid
